Animal Health Care Center 

Dr. Cassandra Cruzen came to HDA Architects with a dream of building a full-service animal boarding, grooming, and daycare facility in Madison, AL. Dr. Cruzen acquired a piece of property next to the existing animal hospital to use for her project. 



In September of 2018, Dr. Cruzen’s dream started to take shape, as our team began designing the healthcare and boarding facility. Construction began in May of 2020 and was completed in January 2022. The beautiful design, state-of-the-art equipment, and spacious layout create a welcoming and peaceful environment for both pets and owners. 

Dr. Cruzen and the team at AHCC opened their doors at the beginning of 2022 and could not be happier. 

As of March 2025, plans are nearly complete for a second boarding facility. This project serves as an example of ideal boarding facilities where fear-free animal comfort is the top priority.
